The art for this new Album is unbelievable to me. You did such an amazing job depicting your emotional-story through a single image. Just, awesome! Wow
This was one of the first writings in a while that captivated me. Thank you for sharing this truth. Everything you wrote struck a chord. Excited to listen to the album!
Today, while I was cutting many oranges for the Sicilian orange / fennel salad I am about to contribute to my dear 93 year old neighbor's Rosh Hashanah brunch, I tried to find a playlist which felt right as background. None fit. Then after making several calls to find someone with time to chat, and finally reaching my 93 year old Uncle, I enjoyed a catch up call and shared stories while peeling and cutting. Afterwards, silence felt wise. Perhaps being touch by the years these two super agers have spent managing tragedy and enjoying all the best things life has to offer sufficiently filled the small space in my kitchen, as I completed the dish.
Why, I wonder, did your Protagonist song come into my head soon afterwards? Still silently "singing" the chorus.
Warning folks, it fairly quickly becomes stuck in your head on repeat. Yes...a brain worm.....a wonderful well of words worthy of the precious real estate in your mind. Apparently it also goes nicely with oranges, fennel, red onions and black cured olives.
